Stacy A. Korsgaden
Founder & Financial Advisor
“I love to help people with their journey in life.”
Stacy Korsgaden learned early in life the importance of sound financial planning. As a child, her father was killed in an automobile accident. Providentially, he had purchased life insurance a month before. She says, “That life insurance literally changed our lives. Mom was able to stay home, and we were all involved in sports and in the community. We still had to watch our budget, but we never went without.”
After high school, Stacy went on to work her way through college and graduate with virtually no debt. She worked in the insurance business and eventually transitioned to financial planning. She knows the meaning and value of hard work and discipline. She applied those skills to help her clients grow and gather assets. “It’s about learning how to take care of money,” she says.
Since 2000, Stacy has served clients locally in San Luis Obispo County as a financial advisor.
She attributes her success, in part, to her ability to put folks at ease. “People feel comfortable talking to me,” she says. “They may come in worried that I am going to judge them, but that’s not me. I am here to help them diagnose their money issues and figure out a better plan.” She enjoys the process of educating and coaching her clients. “I love to help people with their journey in life,” she says.
With each client, she takes the time to carefully build a strategy designed to address their situation, needs, and dreams. Then she helps her clients execute that strategy. Stacy has found that by teaching clients good financial discipline, wealth and comfort for later years often follow.
For those who have accumulated wealth, she is able to help them transition from accumulating to collecting income from their nest egg, while remaining financially secure.
She firmly believes in a “balanced approach” to financial planning.
Stacy is also passionate about giving back to her community. Her record of community service and charitable endeavors are distinguished. Currently, she serves as Board President of the Boys and Girls Club of South San Luis Obispo County. The organization serves more than 250 local youths daily. In 2019, she served as Chair of the South County Chamber of Commerce.
Stacy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo; as well as a certificated degree in Professional Financial Planning from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
